So let’s me and you add to that conversation! Assassin’s Creed Origins has an in-game store that uses the Ubisoft currency, Helix, in order to buy new weapons, items, and other miscellaneous goods. And there’s a lot in the Assassin’s Creed Origins’ store. So what’s the stuff that’s most worth nabbing for your hard-earned cash? Here’s our picks for the top Helix items in Assassin’s Creed Origins.
5. Scorpion Shield
You know that old saying the best defense is a good offense? Well the opposite of that is true, too. The Scorpion Shield is the perfect implement to prove this point. It’s a decorated slab of metal that looks like, of all things, a scorpion (and also kind of like a Predator). The Scorpion Shield has maximum support, providing tons of adrenaline on each block, and absorbs tons of the damage that comes with each of those hits. Also (and again, as you’d expect from this name) the Scorpion Shield poisons the enemy on each successful block, making it a snap to clear through even those most aggressive of foes.
4. Legendary Bows Pack
If you’re looking for the perfect way to give yourself an edge when starting your Egyptian adventure, then the Legendary Bows Pack is a good fit. Bows are a key weapon in the game, and maybe even more important than swords. These ranged tools are used to stealthily clear out enemy encampments, inflict status ailments, or even take down tough baddies up close by firing multiple arrows at once. You’ll get one legendary Hunter, Light, and Warrior bow, which is a really great yet versatile set for all your Medjay activities.
3. Unicorn
If you’re looking for a super-fun way to break some of the oppressive atmosphere of Bayek’s Egyptian journey, the Unicorn mount is what you need. This mythical beast is as lighthearted and silly as you’d expect – and it even trails rainbows from its hooves as you roam the land. You can get the unicorn through a single purchase, but it’s also included with the Wacky Egypt pack – and that might be the better bargain. But honestly, the Unicorn is one of the coolest mounts in the game. So it’s worth every Helix no matter how you obtain it.
2. Material Packs
One of the major ways that Bayek becomes more powerful is through upgrading his custom pieces of equipment, such as his breastplate for more defense, or bracers for more attack power. There are six different things to upgrade. And you do so by using the various natural materials around Egypt. Stuff like iron, leather, and wood can be applied to Bayek to make him better. But gathering this stuff can be time-consuming. So why not throw down some Helix for a few bundles? The Material Packs give you a lot of upgrade materials for reasonable prices, and can really help make Bayek a super fighting force much faster than doing it manually.
1. Map Packs
There’s a lot to see & do in the Egypt of Assassin’s Creed Origins. Almost too much, really! I mean, there’s so much to do that it’s ridiculously easy to miss stuff. You could explore Egypt and its surrounding territories for literal real-life weeks and still not find everything. So why not make it a little easier on yourself? Purchasing the Map Packs, either individually or in the economical three-pack, will show you the location of Stargazing Spots, Papyrus locations, and all the ancient tombs in the world. It’s not a game-breaking advantage. But it is an advantage – and after you use it for a bit, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.
